Tourist tax (Сity tax)
Upon arrival, a tourist tax is charged:
For Kharkiv- 35,5 UAH per day from residents of Ukraine
- 142 UAH per day from non-residents of Ukraine
- 28,4 UAH per day from residents of Ukraine
- 71 UAH per day from non-residents of Ukraine
It is charged according to the resolution of Kharkiv City Council, which bases of Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine", guided by Article 59 of the Law of Ukraine "On local government in Ukraine".
The payers of the tourist tax are citizens of Ukraine and foreigners arriving on the territory of the city, where the decision of the city council on the establishment of a tourist tax is in force, and temporarily living in a rented apartment.
Groups of persons exempt from paying tourist tax:
- Persons with disabilities, children with disabilities who have the relevant documents and persons accompanying them (no more than one accompanying person for persons with disabilities of group I or disabled children).
- War veterans with a corresponding certificate.
- Participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, with a corresponding certificate.
- Children under the age of 18 years.
- Persons permanently residing in the city, including under the terms of employment contracts.
